Waterside is a 100 year old detached cottage, is available for short breaks throughout the year apart from bank holiday weeks.
Located on a working boatyard and ideal for families. Waterside is just a 20 min walk from shops, pubs and restaurants and only 25 minutes to a leisure centre. Being near the Chiltern Hills many National Trust properties and other interesting sites are to be found locally.
Waterside sleeps up to 11 people in 6 bedrooms and we have special rates for 1 - 5 and 6 - 8 guests.
Our facilities include a lounge with oak beams and log fire, conservatory and terrace, farmhouse style kitchen and six bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The main lounge has an open fire, wooden beams and doors to the conservatory. Included are TV, DVD player and video (small library). There is also an attic living room for up to 3 people with a TV and DVD player.
The bedrooms consist of 1 en-suite double, 3 twin rooms (one with 3 foot bunk beds) and attic stairs to 1 single and 1 twin room with sloping ceilings. All duvets, linen and some towels are included and we can supply a cot.
The kitchen is well equipped with gas cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
One bathroom is en-suite with WC, 2 basins, bidet, shower, washer and dryer. The other bathroom has WC, basin, shower over bath.
Waterside has a small private back garden with barbecue and picnic bench and a front terrace with table and chairs.
There is parking for up to four cars immediately outside the cottage and further cars can be left in the car park.
Full gas heating and electricity all included.
Logs £5 per basket for the open fire.
Access to canal frontage (children take care).
Bring your own canoe/dinghy for use on the canal, a license is not required if you are a member of the British Canoe Union.
Buoyancy aids are available.
Fishing - national rod license required. (local day tickets £3) No fishing at boatyard.
We can provide a list of local day boats available for hire.
