Escape to the depths of the Welsh countryside and enjoy the beauty of West Wales in this comfortable Grade ll listed 19th century former piggery.
On an idyllic & secluded organic dairy farm overlooking the beautiful Teifi Valley of Carmarthenshire, the cottage, with its exposed beams & a wood-burning stove offers a delightful country retreat.
Much of the furniture has been made by the owners from timber harvested from the woods on the farm & the decoration throughout uses a palette of bold, warm colours giving an air of welcome & comfort.
The cottage has a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting-room with wood floors & wood-lined ceilings. There is a farmhouse table with seating for 4, a comfortable leather sofa & easy chairs in which to relax by the wood-burning stove. With an extensive selection of books, board-games & many dvds, a digital radio with iPod dock, tv & dvd player there is plenty of evening entertainment after long days on the beach or walking in the hills.
A small complimentary welcome basket, a fresh, home-made cake and flowers from the garden will be on the table on your arrival.
The two bedrooms (double & twin beds) are simply and attractively furnished with beds made by the owners. The double bed has a goose-down duvet & the twins beds have organic wool duvets & both beds have locally woven Welsh wool counterpanes.
There is an electric heater in the double bedroom & an electric blanket on the bed. Cosy hot water bottles are also provided.
The bathroom has a bath (complete with yellow rubber ducks!) with hand-held shower, wash-basin, lavatory, washing machine & heated towel-rail.
All bed-linen & towels are supplied.
The water supply comes from pure natural springs on the farm.
All fuel & electricity is included in the price.
