Single holiday let sleeping up to 5 guests
Ty Cariad is nestled in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains in West/Mid Wales, above a tiny village with a grocery/off-license, post-office and pub.
It has stunning views across the Ystwyth Valley and is on the doorstep of the historic Hafod estate which is a forest estate reknowned for it's restored gardens, riverside and forest walks of varying degrees of difficulty and which has a grotto with a waterfall within. Surrounded by nature reserves and home of the red kite, Ty Cariad is on cycle route 81 which is considered to be one of the most scenic in the country. It is three miles from the breathtaking waterfalls at Devils Bridge, 10 miles inland from the beautiful Cardigan coast, and a 20min. drive to the Elan valley.
The interior of Ty Cariad was lovingly restored between 2007 and 2009 and has a host of charming period features, wood-burning stove, oak doors and new tile and oak floors. We get many comments about how much care and attention we have put into making this a comfortable and welcoming holiday home; the emphasis is on 'home' and we have not spared any expense in making it luxurious and convenient for our guests.
The main bedroom has a four-poster kingsize bed and has triple-aspect views over the garden and valley. The second bedroom has both a double and a single bed, and all beds have high quality mattresses and bedding for ultimate comfort.
The kitchen and dining room are filled with vintage kitchenalia and every convenience has been provided.
In the living room there is a comfy leather suite around the wood-burner in the stone fireplace and a desk with a view and a bookcase for students, artists and writers.
Satellite TV and wireless broadband is provided free of charge. There is fuel supplement of £25 in colder months which includes full central heating via cast-iron radiators and a basket of logs and a coal scuttle.
Towels are an extra £3 per set if required.
Well behaved dogs who stay downstairs and off the furniture are welcome too at £15 (food bowls and dog rug supplied).
