Ballaminers House is a delightful mid 18th century double fronted stone farmhouse with well proportioned rooms which have been sympathetically updated and painted in Farrow and Ball colours.Surrounded by a large secure garden the house is tucked away up a leafy lane in the picturesque village of Little Petherick situated two miles south of Padstow and Rick Steins seafood restaurant and cookery school. The property is within easy reach of eight fantastic beaches which are Harlyn Bay, Booby's Bay, Treyarnon Bay, Trevose Head, Constantine Bay,Porthcothan, Hawker's Cove and Trevone. Private Parking and Wi Fi.
The house sleeps 8 people offering four bedrooms and two bathrooms which are all on the upper floor of the property. There are three reception rooms aswell as a breakfast/ dining room leading to the kitchen. The house is well equipped with three flatscreen tv's, i pod dock and dvd player with large selection of dvd's to enjoy during your stay. Various board games and magazines are also supplied.

The kitchen is well equipped with a Hotpoint 8kg Aqualtis washer / dryer machine, a large John Lewis stainless steel fridge/ freezer with plenty of room for the shopping and a John Lewis superb electric double oven cooker with flatplate hob. In addition there is a blue AGA twin oven in the dining/ breakfast room. We have a large secure garden ideal for children and dogs. No water features.

Margot's,Paul Ainsley's No 6 restaurant and St Petroc's Bistro are also based in Padstowwhere you will find an excellent selection of restaurants and traditional pubs .With it's quaint narrow streets , art galleries and boutiques Padstow is a great place to visit.Cornwall is very child friendly and there's much for children to do and see. Crealys adventure park, Newquay Zoo, Dairyland and Gweek seal sanctuary to name but a few. Cornwall has become increasingly dog friendly over the past few years making it an ideal holiday destination for four legged members of the family.

As already mentioned there are many breathtaking beaches within easy reach of the house and you can cross over from Hawkers Cove (8 minutes away) to Daymer Bay by ferry. Trevose Golf course is within a fifteen minute drive from the house. St Enodoc golf course at Rock is easily accessible. Excellent riding stables close by.Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant at Watergate Bay is within easy reach and Newquay airport is only twenty five minutes by car. Flights to and from Gatwick, the Scilly Isles and other European destinations operate from here. Art lovers head for Tate St Ives , Newlyn Gallery, and Penlee House.

The house is light and airy and retains many original features has been featured in two glossy magazines and offers four bedrooms and sleeps a total of eight people.

Two double bedrooms, one small twin bedroom ideal for children,another bedroom offering a zip and link bed which can be made up into either a Super King six foot bed or two single beds. There are two bathrooms one of which has an original roll top bath the second has a bath with telephone tap and hand shower and power shower over one end of the bath.

Two of the sitting rooms have window seats and shutters and the third receptions room offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Shaker style kitchen and breakfast/ dining room with Aga have old slate floors.
There are three flatscreen tv's with built in Freeview, one also has a built in dvd slot and is upstairs in the small double bedroom. Reception Room One has a Samsung Flatscreen , Reception Room Two is our ' quiet room' which we feel some guests might appreciate! The third reception room has a large Samsung flatscreen, Panasonic dvd player and selection of dvds, book library , board games and a HOUSE COMPUTER for guests to use during their stay. WiFi .

There is a lovely secure garden of just under and acre which surrounds the house making the house an ideal choice for families with children and dogs. The garden is well stocked and from the patio area there are wonderful far reaching views of the surrounding countryside. The back of the farmhouse sits comfortably across the former farmyard from Stable and Dairy cottages which are also listed on this site . Parking on the premises.
