Two properties sleeping 6 and 12

We have two holiday cottages “Cherry Tree Cottage” and “Penderrow” both of which are located in North Cornwall’s beautiful rural countryside near the North Cornwall/Devon border, approx. 50 minutes from Exeter and Plymouth and just 7 miles from the rugged Cornish heritage coastline. They are ideal for individual and large family groups of up to 18 persons (12 in Penderrow and 6 in Cherry Tree) or for special occasions such as significant Birthdays, Weddings, Engagements, Easter, Christmas and New Year celebrations on our short break rates.

Nestled amidst glorious north Cornish countryside, yet just 7 miles from the breath-taking Heritage coastline, these delightful, spacious cottages are the perfect choice for family and friends to enjoy a celebration or just to escape and relax in this tranquil location.

As the Cottages are located on our working Stud Farm, the stables next door are a great attraction for young and old, and guests can even bring their horse on holiday as livery is available. Other attractions include Pigs, Sheep, Chickens and Ducks.

Pool and Games Room - There is a shared indoor heated swimming pool just a short walk (booking may be required in busier times) and use of a shared games room so there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. Refurbished green oak framed pool enclosure completed April 2012.

PENDERROW (Sleeps up to 12)

Penderrow is like a Tardis, it appears to be a small single storey house from the outside but is in reality a two storey spacious and very comfortable holiday home on the inside with all the comforts and facilities you will need including Livery for your horse for those equestrian guests.

Entrance hall leading to ground floor area and stairs to the upper floor.

Fully equipped Kitchen with breakfast/Dining table for 12.

Utility/boot room with washing machine, sink, fridge and freezer. Room to store wellies, surf boards etc.

Dining room with table and seating for 8.

Sitting room with seating for 12, TV, DVD and open fire plus BT landline for local calls and BT Broad-band wireless internet access.

Bedrooms: sleeps up to 12 in one 6ft zip & link, one King size double and a twin on the ground floor and a further 6ft zip & link double with spectacular views over the Cornish countryside and four singles on the upper floor, ideal as a children’s/teenagers dormitory. The dormitory is equipped with a Freeview TV and DVD player and giant bean bags, with plenty of space for kids to spread out.

Bathroom with bath, separate double shower and WC, double size shower room with basin and WC and a separate WC on the ground floor, and a separate WC and double size shower on the upper floor.

Balcony area over the dining room has a desk and an easy chair for those that wish to escape to use a laptop or just sit and read.

An enclosed garden at the rear accessed from either the front entrance or sliding French windows off the Kitchen affords an afternoon or evening in the outdoors where there is ample garden furniture and a bar-be-cue to cook those burgers or locally purchased fish etc. all washed down with a glass of wine or beer or the locally produced Camelford Champagne.

Comments from our guests are that the house is very spacious and even with 12 people there is plenty of room.

CHERRY TREE COTTAGE sleeps 6 in three 1st floor bedrooms.

A fully equipped Kitchen with fan assisted cooker & hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, orange juicer, ample cupboards with plenty of crockery, pots, pans, cutlery, glasses and kitchen utensils and twin drainer sink.

A Dining room with table and seating for six and living room with a 3-seater and 2-seater settee and an arm chair, Freeserve TV and log effect electric fire and a further adjoining sitting room with 3-piece suite, Freeserve TV and DVD.

A Telephone for local calls, Wi-Fi broadband router for internet connection.

Bedrooms - one 6 ft. zip & link, one King-size and one twin.

Two shower-rooms with electric showers, basins and WCs upstairs.

WC and cloakroom downstairs.

Full central heating.

Comments from earlier guests have been this is such a cosy cottage and the extra sitting room was ideal for their Children or a quiet place to go away from the rest of the group and that there is so much to do in Cornwall. They just don't want to go home!

Shared stunning indoor Swimming Pool and separate Games Room . The Pool enclosure has had a complete makeover which finished in April 2012 with a vaulted green oak frame and a slate clad roof. A new changing room with shower and a new seating area with plenty of light from argon gas filled glass windows keeping a uniform temperature throughout the year.

PV Solar panels to reduce our carbon footprint on both cottages.

Full or part livery service available for Horse lovers, bring your own horse and ride on the moors or beech.

Local shop, Pub and Beach at Crackington Haven 10-15 minutes. Waitrose and Asda both offer on-line shopping and we can arrange to take delivery on the day of you arrival.
