The Boat House is situated on the banks of one of the most beautiful tidal estuaries in Cornwall. The Fowey river runs from its source high on Bodmin Moor down woody valleys, passing Lanhydrock House and on to the ancient stannery town of Lostwithiel heading towards the river mouth at Fowey. This 440 year old cottage is situated on the owner's working farm & small boatyard, 3 miles from Lostwithiel and 2 miles from the picturesque village of Lerryn. The surrounding area has been made famous by the writer Daphne du Maurier and more recently by the now world famous Eden Project
The cottage layout is as follows
- Entrance Hall leading down to a south facing open-plan living/dining -room
- Kitchen area equiped with usual appliances with door to garden.
- Bunk-bedded room
- Bathroom with over-bath shower
- Wooden stairs leading to the first floor which contains one double room and one twin-bedded room (both these have sloping ceilings)
