Single holiday let sleeping up to 6 guests
Nestled into a wooded valley with only the soft sounds of the brook, gentle lapping of waves and the call of the owls to lull you to sleep at night; Willow Cottage is truly idyllic. This charming 18th century white washed cob cottage is situated in Porthallow, 2 mins walk from the dog friendly beach/pub and really does have roses growing over the door!! Porthallow Cove is a secluded coastal village south of the Helford River with a sand and shingle beach that is safe for swimming.
Dogs are most welcome, Off road parking for 2 cars, Enclosed back garden
The kitchen/diner has everything the keen chef would require and for those who prefer to lounge it also has a comfy sofa! A further two sofas can be found in the spacious lounge area setting the scene for a romantic evening by the wood burner or family game of cards, listening to music or chilling out with some dvds.
Upstairs there are three delightful bedrooms and access to the stairs leading to the back garden. The double en-suite has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet and there is a separate shower room also with basin and toilet. The second double bedroom has a continental size bed (larger than king) and the single bedroom can if required have a 2nd small bed added making it ideal for two children sharing.
The enclosed terraced gardens at the back, reached from the first floor, offer both panoramic sea and country views, perfect for morning coffee on the deck, a leisurely picnic under the apple tree or a spot of stargazing. A sunny, south facing patio with seating is situated directly outside the kitchen making it convenient for barbeques or relaxing with a glass of wine.
The cottage has everything you would require for a smooth running holiday: a washer/dryer, dishwasher, cd player stereo, dvd (bring your own movies), internet hub and thermostatically controlled central heating. Access to an undercover drying area suitable for surf gear can also be found on the ground floor. To the front of the cottage there is off-road parking for two cars. All linen and towels (not beach), guidebooks, maps and cookery books are provided.
We can also give useful advice on the most suitable place to take your dogs e.g. livestock/traffic free and quiet.
There are great walks from your front door so you don't need to drive anywhere unless you want to explore even more.
