A perfect base for exploring the remote and uncommercialised western fells and lakes. Set in seven acres of meadows and woodland bordered by the River Irt - with a natural rocky pool for hardy swimmers. An easy walk gives access to the open fell leading to the Wastwater Screes and Scafell range. Nearest neighbour is the local pub, a 350 yard stroll, which serves a good range of bar and restaurant meals.
