Situated on Whinlatter pass, Darling How is a large Georgian farmhouse with fantastic views of the Lakeland fells. The house has been renovated to high standards to accommodate up to ten people and is an ideal place for family gatherings and celebrations. It is all on one floor and has five bedrooms and three bathrooms (one ensuite).

The sitting room is spacious with comfortable seating, widescreen TV with DVD player and a wood burning stove.

The kitchen is large and has dining for ten. It is fully equipped with a large range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of storage space. There is a laundry room situated in one of the barns outside with washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board.

French windows in the kitchen lead to a patio and garden which is fully enclosed and has fantastic views of the surrounding fells.

Whinlatter is a great starting point for hundreds of walks, either through the forest, up the fells or along the lakeshore paths of Crummock Water, Buttermere and Loweswater. The visitor centre at Whinlatter is a couple of miles away and has a cafe, bike hire and high ropes course (Go Ape), as well as a live video camera in the Osprey nest (May-August). Keswick is just 15 minutes drive away with its bustling town centre, boating on the lake and outdoor activities.

The house is warm and cosy with oil central heating throughout. Pets are welcome (maximum two except by prior permission).
