Single holiday let sleeping up to 6 guests
WHY NOT TRY SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT?
Long Marton Station, on the historic Settle - Carlisle Railway, has been painstakingly restored over the past 15 years. Situated in the unspoilt Eden Valley between the Lakes and the Pennines, the Station occupies a commanding position in half an acre of land just outside the village.
Steam trains pass right by during the tourist season. The railway is much quieter now since the installation of continuous rail in 2010. A few trains pass in the night, but the Station is double glazed so they should not disturb your sleep, and none of our guests has found this a problem..
There is a large lounge with the original marble fireplace (have a real fire!) and a panoramic view of the eastern Lake District hils, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, large family bedroom with king-size and two single beds, and a twin bedroom. Cot available on request. Gas central heating, air conditioning unit in lounge, Freeview TV, VCR/DVD, Stereo with comprehensive collection of records, cassettes and CDs, Wifi, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer and a bath with shower over complete the internal facilities.
Outside there is ample parking within the grounds and a large lawn.
Everything is included (towels on request). Pets are welcome (by arrangement), and there is a welcome pack on arrival.
Long Marton has a great pub/restaurant (the Masons Arms) just 200 yards away (£10.45 for 3 courses!), and a superb village bakery (Kath Earl's) selling home-made pies and cakes.
