Dolphin Cottage is thought to date back to the early 19th Century and was originally a Coaching Inn. It is less than a mile from the sands of Morecambe Bay and is on the old London road.

Flookburgh is a working village with its own corner shop, chemist, fish and chip shop, speciality butchers shop, two pubs and is just 6 miles from Lakeside on the southern end of Lake Windermere, 2.5 miles from Grange Over Sands, which boasts quaint shops and good restaurants and 2 miles from Cartmel, with its racecourse set in idyillic woodland surroundings, the Priory and the famous 'Sticky Toffee Pudding' Shop.

The Cottage On the ground floor is a kitchen, utility room, dining room and lounge. The first floor accommodation comprises three large bedrooms and a substantial family bathroom. The second floor holds a further two bedrooms, living area and three piece shower room. To the side and rear of the cottage is off road parking for several vehicles. A five bar gate secures the rear courtyard from the drive, making it safe for smaller children and pets. There is a garage for secure storage of Cycles, sports equipment etc. The outbuilding was the original shellfish processing area and is now used for table tennis. There is a swing seat and decking area with a picnic table.

With 12 people in winter works out at £5.06 pppn. Summer Peak season with 12 people is £13.16pppn. This is cheaper than camping and a million times more comfortable!!
