The Cottages at The Kings Arms consist of 3 properties, West View, Flag Cottage and Fern Cottage.

WEST VIEW has three bedrooms and is a recently renovated 16th C cottage which is situated close to all the village amenities. There is private parking for 2 cars and a small garden and patio which overlooks beautiful countryside. The property features a modern fitted kitchen/dining and is fully equipped with integrated washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, gas hob, fan assisted oven and a microwave. There is also a conservatory connected to the kitchen which offers another breakfast or afternoon room. The living room also benefits from a magnificent view across adjoining countryside and has a gas coal-effect fire, satellite television, mini hi-fi and DVD player. Upstairs is the master bedroom with king size bed, a twin bedded room and a smaller room with bunk beds which is ideal for children. The bathroom has a bath/shower suite and there is a second WC downstairs.

The cottage is kept warm by gas central heating and we will supply linen and towels at no extra charge. A travel cot and high chair are provided but should you require more than one of each please ask beforehand. There is also a garage available for secure storage (by prior arrangement).

FLAG COTTAGE is located in the heart of the village and was originally built in the 18th century when cattle and horses were housed at ground level and the family lived above. Today the accommodation consists of a ground floor fully fitted kitchen and a double bedroom with private facilities. Upstairs is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom, a single bedroom and a cosy sitting room with modern gas wood burn effect stove and an outlook over the rooftops to Latterbarrow. The cottage has gas central heating.

A small garden and patio area are a real 'sun trap' but parents must be aware that a stream runs beside the garden boundary so care must be taken to supervise small children whilst outside. Parking permits are provided for the village car park and the unloading point is in the square, outside the Kings Arms, roughly 50 yards from the cottage.

FERN COTTAGE is a traditional 18th Century lakeland cottage situated just off the square in the village centre. Originally it was the police house, but now the old lock-up and office is a roomy kitchen/dining area with electric hob, fridge freezer, washing machine and a dryer. A twisting staircase leads from a snug sitting room with open fire to two double en-suite bedrooms, each with showers. The cottage sleeps four people perfectly but Z-beds are available if needed for extra guests and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room. Heating is by night storage heaters and coal and logs are available free of charge for wintry days. Parking is available free of charge in the nearby 'Pay and Display' car park using our complimentary permit.
