Our village is an ideal location for either a relaxed or an active break. There is a wealth of walking, cycling or adventure based activities close by and the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and Scotland are all within easy reach. Alternatively the pub is just a short stroll away.

We have 2 large properties next to each other which each provide an excellent base for familly or friends to get together. They are both very walker and pet friendly. We provide all linen and towels and our prices are fully inclusive.

MIDTOWN FARMHOUSE is a traditional Westmorland longhouse which we have renovated to provide exceptional comfort and luxury. All the rooms are spacious and bright and the house has retained much of its traditional character, but at the same time is well equipped with all modern conveniences.
The Farmhouse sleeps up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms (two spacious doubles and 2 twins). The main bedroom is ensuite and features a corner bath. There is also a further bathroom with a corner bath and shower, plus a generous shower room. The bright and spacious farmhouse kitchen provides all the conveniences of modern living including a range cooker and has a large dining area. The main reception room with its original stone fireplace, cosy log-burning stove and oak beams has comfortable seating for eight people to relax around the fire. There is also a large dining table at the far end of the room.

The Farmhouse has a front garden looking out onto the village green and is just a short stroll from our village pub.



THE DAIRY is just behind the farmhouse and looks out onto the Pennine hills.

It is a substantial property that comfortably accommodates 10 people. It has been graded 5 star (the highest grade possible) by Visit Britain.

The rooms are spread over 3 floors, with the bedrooms on the ground and top floors and the lounge, kitchen and dining room on the first floor. This layout makes the most of the magnificent views from the kitchen and lounge towards Dufton Pike and the Pennines, and brings a lot of natural light into the main living areas. The large, comfortable kitchen is finished to a very high standard and is equipped to an equally high specification. The separate panelled dining room is just next door and seats 10 people comfortably. The spacious and bright lounge has a 42" digital TV and plenty of space for board games or just relaxing. There are 5 bedrooms over the 2 floors, 2 of which are doubles with king size beds (one ensuite), 2 more spacious doubles and one twin (ensuite). There are a further 2 bathrooms including one with a corner bath, so no long queues in the morning! All of the rooms are beautifully finished with luxurious fittings throughout.
