Buttercup Cottage is a luxurious, well equipped and homely stone cottage situated in Middleton by Wirksworth. The cottage provides a fabulous base for couples or families, enabling exploration of the delights of the Derbyshire Dales.

Take the opportunity to relax in the characterful lounge, with a log burning stove and beamed ceiling. The cottage offers one double room and one lovely spacious twin bedded room. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and the bathroom has both a bath and separate shower cubicle. The cottage is centrally heated for your comfort and convenience.

A cot and other baby equipment is available upon request. All bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost for your stay. The rental cost also includes all utilities and a bag of logs. Additional logs can be purchased locally.

Middleton by Wirksworth is situated in the Derbyshire Dales close to Matlock. Buttercup cottage is within walking distance of the High Peak Trail for walking and cycling and a five minute drive to Carsington Water where you can walk, cycle or participate in water sports.

The village has its own shop and post office where essential supplies can be purchased. There are also two pubs, The Nelson which is 100m from the cottage and The Rising Sun a 10 minute walk. The Rising Sun offers food. Further pubs, cafes and restaurants can be found in Wirksworth. Wirksworth also has a wide range of shops including butchers, bakers and Grocers.

Bookings are made directly with the owner. Short breaks are available upon request. Payments can be made by credit/debit card or by cheque.
