Peak Retreat is a cottage of contemporary design situated on the fringe of the Peak District.
Having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms makes this property an ideal base for two families or a group of friends, for a self catering holiday.
Set on the side of the Kinder Scout moorlands yet within 5 minutes walk of the village of Hayfield gives you both stunning views but easy access to village amenities. Good traditional pubs, many serving excellent food are all within walking distance along with a couple of restaurants in the village centre. Walking, mountain biking, rock climbing, cycling and horse riding abound in the area for those who like to be active.
Plenty of attractions to visit in the car for the more sedate - the stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall , the Blue John caverns in nearby Castleton, otter and donkey sanctuaries, Buxton Opera house and Pavillion Gardens, Bakewell home of puddings, village well dressings and a lot more besides.
The centre of Manchester is only 24 miles away for those who crave city life or shopping although it will seem an awful lot further as you lie in bed listening to the birds or sheep that awake you in the morning.
