Dittiscombe lies in the heart of the South Hams, an area of unspoilt beaches, tree-shaded estuaries and historic sailing towns, all set within a delightful pastoral landscape. Our superb location means we are close to the beautiful beaches of Start Bay, the historic village of Slapton, and the stunning coastal walks of the South West Coast Path, from Dartmouth to Start Point Lighthouse.

Our comfortable cottages, sleeping 2 - 6 guests, nestle in an exclusive area of conservation valley which includes woodlands, ponds and meadows. Each cottage has a pretty, individual garden with valley views.

Properties range from romantic one-bedroom cottages (Honeysuckle and The Owlery), to two-bedroom dog and family friendly cottages (Rafters, Buddleia and Dovecote) to the largest cottage of four bedrooms (Willows). Some have woodburners, all have Wifi and are well equipped and rated Visit England Four Star.

Slapton village, just two miles away, has two excellent pubs serving local food and at the beautiful freshwater lake at Slapton Ley visitors can take a nature safari and discover a wide range of wildlife. A short walk from the village there is the award-winning Slapton Sands beach, and a little further along at Torcross the Start Bay Inn is renowned for serving the best fish and chips in the area.

We are also close to the pretty sailing towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe, and the vibrant market towns of Kingsbridge and Totnes. We provide our guests with a temporary membership to Dartmouth Golf & Country Club (just 5 miles from Dittiscombe) where there are 18 and 9-hole courses, a pool, sauna,

jacuzzi and gym, and beauty treatments.

From November to March we offer warm and cosy short breaks from £250 for 3 nights, fully inclusive. Our cottages are perfect off-season with woodburners, spa baths and views of the rolling Devon hills from a cottage window.

Low season: November - March price range £425- £550. Reduced rates for couples in our 2 bedroom cottages.

Mid season: April & May and September & October price range £550- £800. Reduced rates for couples in our 2 bedroom cottages.

High season: June, July and August price range £750- £1900
