Swift Cottage is a lovingly restored barn conversion and is one of nine cottages in a holiday complex called Newhouse Barton. Located in the rolling hills of South Devon between Totnes and Newton Abbot and a short drive to the local village of Ipplepen. Enjoy peace and quiet in this tranquil setting with unforgettable views of stunning countryside all set in a traffic free pedestrian courtyard that gives access to the nine cottages.

Swift Cottage is a two bedroom cottage that sleeps 4 + a bed settee in the living area for an additional person. It is family and pet friendly and is four star gold rated by the Tourist Board. The complex enjoys a heated indoor pool which is free to use, games room (table tennis, pool table, table football, Wi-Fi) ,external children's play area, communal barbecue and picnic area.

Swift Cottage benefits from having a ground floor bedroom with two twin beds and en-suite and shutters to the windows, suitable for people with limited mobility; with the main bedroom on the first floor, again with its own en-suite. The open plan family area on the ground floor consisting of the living, dining and kitchen area has direct access to the pedestrian courtyard and with rear access to the pool and games room. The added attraction of Swift Cottage is the spiral staircase leading to the first floor with a open gallery looking down onto the living area with its log burning stove etc.

The kitchen is well fitted out with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, electric oven & hob, slow cooker, fridge freezer etc. Living room has a 40" smart TV and both bedrooms have flat screen digital TV's and DVD facilities, free Wi-Fi, books, games and lots more for entertainment. The front of Swift has its own external table and seating with sun umbrella and barbecue for eating alfresco.

If required a travel cot, high chair, baby bath, door guard are available.

Heating is via Wi-Fi controlled Fischer Future electric heaters in all rooms with the running costs all included in the rental. Also included in the rental is bed linen, towels, tea towels, welcome pack which includes the essentials to get you started.

Swift Cottage accepts one small dog. If you bring your pet on holiday there is a small additional charge of £25.00.

Swift Cottage is non-smoking.

During the high season only weekly bookings are accepted unless it is late availability. During other times short breaks of 3 or 4 days are welcome. Swift Cottage is open for bookings all year round.

Green Issues- The communal areas (pool and games room) now being heated by a biomass boiler.

For EV cars a car charger point - Pod Point has been installed in the car-park - 2No sockets of 7Kw.

Swift Cottage the 2020 prices range from £455 to £1465 for 7 nights.

Mid-week short breaks - 3 & 4 night breaks are 70% of the weekly rental. Week -end breaks are 75% of the weekly rental

Swift Cottage will accept one well behaved small dog at an additional charge of £25.00 per visit.
