THE LITTLE HOUSE (SLEEPS 2) - OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND

Set in the yard below Ebenezer, separated by steps and a gate, is the Little House. It is a charming studio style cottage, perfect for a romantic retreat ( or ideal for extra guests, if you take Ebenezer as well). The main room has a super-king size bed, a sitting room area with a sofa (sofa bed) and chairs, flat screen tv and dvd player. French windows lead on to the south facing deck and a tiny garden. There are far reaching views to the sea. The pretty bathroom has a bath and shower. The small kitchen is equipped with a combined oven/microwave, hob and fridge. The Little House is available for weekly lets and for short stays (2 plus nights) and for bed and breakfast For lots of photos of the Little House please go to www.ebenezerbedandbreakfast.co.uk

EBENEZER - SUMMER ONLY

Ebenezer is a very relaxed and comfortable family home set in 30 acres of its own land. At the end of a no-through road, with stunning views to the coast, it is blissfully peaceful and yet the small market town of Beaminster, with really good food shops and restaurants, is only a mile away. It is 7 miles to the sea.

Originally a chapel, the oldest part of the house dates from the 18th century. More 'shabby chic' than immaculate, with antique furniture, lots of paintings (the owner is an artist), books, board games, two open fires and an aga to cook on, it is a great place for families and friends. The house has four bedrooms. The very spacious master bedroom has a king size double bed and en-suite bathroom. It faces south and has french windows leading on to a small balcony. The guest room gets the morning sun and has two huge single beds with zip and link mattresses, so it can be a double or a twin room. There is an en-suite bathroom with a good sized power-shower. There are two children's rooms, one with two single beds and one with bunk beds and a single bed. The children's bathroom has a roll-topped bath.

Downstairs, you come in to a large entrance hall with a wood burning stove. A smaller hall, with a piano, leads to the large farmhouse kitchen. Cooking is all done on the aga (its easy - honestly (!), and we give you lots of instructions and cookery books) and there is a big fridge freezer, belfast sink and a walk in larder. The long table seats twelve. There is a sofa and armchair at one end and French windows lead on to the south facing terrace and garden. There is a boot room with shoe racks, coat hooks and upright freezer, belfast sink and washing machine. The sitting room has a study area with internet access, comfy sofa and chairs and an open fire. There is a tv and dvd player. The garden has a large lawned area and pretty flower beds. A small stream runs down one side.

The house is available DURING JULY AND AUGUST 2011 (price from £1600 per week). We do not have a website for Ebenezer, but please contact us to request an 'e-brochure' with further details and more photos.

THE AREA

Close to the Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis, Bridport and Weymouth, this is a wonderful area to explore. Glorious gardens, fabulous beaches, wonderful walks, and an abundance of celebrity chefs (Hugh Fearnley Wittingstall, Mark Hix, Lesley Walters, Matt Follas). Farmers markets, fishing, golf, sailing, cycling, galleries, historic houses, roman forts and a thriving local arts scene are all to be found. Of if you prefer, just sit and gaze at the view and listen to the birds and maybe you will spot a Roe deer or two on the hill.

Beaminster boasts a bakery, a patisserie, a small supermarket, an excellent butcher, green grocer and florist, plus gift shops and three boutiques. Master Chef winner, Matt Follas has his very successful Wild Garlic restaurant here and there are also a brasserie, a cafe and a couple of pubs in the town.
