A stay at Cedar Cottage provides the ideal opportunity to escape city life, to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful Dorset countryside and to explore the stunning coastline.Cedar Cottage is a mid terrace cottage converted from a stone barn; set in the midst of quiet farmland, only a 15 minute walk from the West Dorset coast at Seatown, with its own pub, The Anchor, on the sea's edge, serving good food and traditional ales.
From the private patio, bordered by a large communal lawn, edged by a small stream, the views of the Dorset hills are breathtaking, with Golden Cap to the right.
The cottage is in the village of Chideock, about 10 minutes walk across the fields. The village has 2 pubs, and a shop; it lies about 7 miles from Lyme Regis, and two miles from the charming market town of Bridport.
The cottage is simply but carefully furnished and has two bedrooms, a bathroom and a lounge/dining area with open-plan kitchen.
The Kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave oven, fridge/ freezer, washing machine, dishwasher etc. Dishes, pans and cooking utensils are plentiful for those who may chose to cook the delicious local produce, including fish, organic vegetables and cheese bought from the market in Bridport.
The master bedroom at the rear of the cottage, with wonderful views, has a king size bed. The second bedroom has two stacking beds which can be used as singles or put together as a double, plus another single bed. The bathroom has a power shower.
There is a south facing patio area outside the living room, accessed through the French doors, with table and chairs, leading to a large lawned garden shared with other cottages.
Price Information:
Low to High Season - £300 - £700Short Breaks available all year round (except during school holidays).
April - October: £70 per night, minimum of 3 nights.
Winter Breaks (November - March any starting day): 2 nights £180, each additional night £50.
