A detached and secluded timber-built, 5-star, Gold Standard, 19th Century cottage set in a private 30-acre estate in the High Weald of Sussex, Blackdown Cottage offers peace and tranquility in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) within easy distance of Royal Tunbridge Wells (30 mins), London (70 mins), the Cinq Port of Rye (40 mins), Battle (of Hastings fame) and much, much more. Castles, gardens, restaurants and decent pubs abound.

Arranged on a single level, there are two bedrooms (kingsize bed, super-kingsize duvet. Two singles with double-duvet), a large, fully fitted kitchen diner, bathroom with separate shower and bath and, of course, a sitting room complete with flat-screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a fully equipped utility room if you feel the urge.

Free of charge are views of our seriously overweight rabbits and our tree-munching deer. Lessons in telling them to clear-off are also free.
