Llanvithyn cottage is a 150 year old 4* graded character cottage, (Welsh Tourist Board), converted from the stone outbuildings for Llanvithyn House, a formerly fortified medieval mansion set in 8 acres, and a site of significant historic importance having reputedly been the location of the 5th Century Llancarfan Monastery.
The spacious and exceptionally comfortable accomodation boasts flagstone and pitch pine floors, exposed stone walls, vaulted ceilings with original beams, wood burning stove and quality furnishings throughout.
The cottage is “disabled friendly” with all accommodation (apart from the crog loft for children), being at ground level and no internal steps. Parking is available immediately outside the cottage. Baby sitting service also available.
Situated in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan, the property is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and enjoys uninterrupted views down the Llancarfan valley and across the Bristol Channel towards Somerset.
