Mabels Oak cottage is a 3 bedroomed cottage spread over 3 floors and in parts is over 200 years old. It was refurbished approximately 4 years ago, has gas central heating and is carpeted throughout. The cottage bedrooms are a good size and all have washbasins. The first floor has one bedroom with a king size bed and one bedroom with twin beds. The third bedroom has a double bed and is on the second floor. There is one family bathroom fitted with a shower over the bath also on the first floor and on the ground floor there is an additional toilet with washbasin.

The kitchen/diningroom has a window overlooking the private garden and is fully equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer as well as all the other many items and utensils needed.

The lounge has lovely views in two directions with a full length glass door that opens directly onto a private decked area where a table, parasol and chairs await you. Here you can have breakfast, enjoy a BBQ on a warm summer evening or just relax. The lounge has a TV with freeview, a video and a DVD player and there is a small, varied selection of films for you to watch, but you can of course bring your own. A selection of books and board games are also provided for your entertainment.

For the smaller members of the family a cot and high chair can be provided if required.

The garden is an open plan one which slopes down to the valley and is planted with a variety of mature trees. Several garden seats are in nice spots overlooking the field and steps lead down to a grassed area. The steep lane leading to the cottage and the steps down to the patio should be considered if disabled access is required.

Mabels Oak cottage is located in a private, secluded spot which overlooks a little green valley where certain times of the year sheep are usually grazing. The cottage is a 2 minute walk from the centre of the charming Cotswold town of Tetbury which has a variety of interesting and individual shops. It has a reputation for fine antique shops for you to browse around or if you prefer just enjoy the numerous, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. The recent opening of The Highgrove Shop - with its connection to Highgrove House, home of Prince Charles is also worth a look.

Parking is available on site for one vehicle but there is plenty of additional parking nearby.

In the best interests of the majority, smoking inside the cottage is not permitted. Pets by arrangement.

Once at the cottage you can forget the car as we are ideally placed for you to just sit and relax, wander around our lovely town or the surrounding area with its beautiful countryside.

Included in the price is all bed linen, towels, heating, lighting etc. and tea, coffee and pastries are provided to welcome you on your arrival.

We live next door to the property so are on hand to help in anyway and have been known to baby sit if required so that you may have some private time to sample the local hospitality.
