The Hollies is an impressive, period residence, sleeping 10, situated within the attractive Leicestershire village of South Kilworth. The house dates from the early part of the 19th century and is perfect for entertaining, parties and family reunions. There are three reception rooms, a farmhouse kitchen, laundry room, cloakroom, pantry, five bedrooms, games room and two bathrooms.
On the ground floor a wide timber door leads to a T-shaped entrance hall with flagstone flooring. There is an inner hall, original servants‚ bells and steps down to a wine cellar. The décor is traditionally tasteful and the rooms have exposed floorboards, fireplaces, original shutters and much character.
The cosy sitting room has a flat screen TV and large games cupboard. The light central drawing room has double doors to the private rear courtyard which has a barbeque area.
The farmhouse kitchen is marvellous for entertaining family and friends. It has an original quarry tiled floor and a large farmhouse table and large dresser. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances, there is an Aga and a separate pantry with a conventional oven and hob, large fridge freezer and preparation trolley.
On the first floor there are three large double bedrooms all tastefully decorated and with fresh cotton linen. The en-suite bathroom to the main bedroom has a tiled shower enclosure with a central roll-top bath. The main bathroom has a white three-piece suite including a roll-top bath and fully tiled shower enclosure. There is also a separate toilet on this floor.
Beyond the main bathroom there is a further staircase rising to bedroom four on the second floor. Another staircase rises to bedroom five which has two single beds and a large games room equipped with a pool table.
