Two holiday lets sleeping 2 and 4

The Dovecote at Cley Windmill is a self catering holiday cottage for independent holidaymakers. Cley Windmill itself dates back to the early 18th Century and is a well-known local landmark on the north Norfolk coastline. Commanding wonderful views over the salt marshes to Blakeney Point and the sea, it nestles comfortably by the old quay, and the flint-walled cottages of the Cley.

The cottage can be occupied either as Self Catering accommodation or on a B&B basis. The windmill is also now available for private house parties.

The windmill is located on the north side of the village within easy walking distance of the varied and unusual village shops. It boasts magnificent views across the sea, the salt marshes and Cley Bird Sanctuary, with Blakeney Harbour in the distance. There is a large walled garden next to the river Glaven which is surrounded by reeds.

The original stables near the windmill have been converted into a beautiful and cosy self catering holiday cottage. The Dovecote is now a flint walled cottage and retains many of its original features. It is normally available on a weekly basis throughout the year. We also let it as a bedroom annex, from which guests can enjoy the normal B&B facilities of the windmill.

On the ground floor is the living area with an open plan kitchen, a master bedroom (with twin or king size bed) and a bathroom. Stairs lead up to a mezzanine gallery where you will find a double bed situated under a vaulted wooden ceiling. The Dovecote is adjacent to the walled garden and looks out over the Mill itself.

The Dovecote is equipped with everything you might need for your holiday including cooker, microwave, fridge, television and electric heaters. All china, cutlery and cooking equipment is provided. Linen, duvets and towels are inclusive in the rental price.
