Seccombe Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the southwest, or just stay and relax within the wonderful setting that's right on the doorstep. Nestling within 600 acres of land which has been farmed by our family for 15 generations, dating back to 1320. A short stroll from the cottage takes you down to the 730 acre lake, with a birdhide that aids your view of the surrounding wildlife. There's plenty of footpaths and forests to explore as well as the far end of the lake offering sailing, windsurfing, rowing, kayaking, archery,climbing and trout fishing. The sandy beaches of Cornwall, rugged terrain of Dartmoor, National Trust properties, Golf courses and cycle paths are all nearby, even attractions such as the award winning Eden project are easily assessable with the A30 only 10 minutes away. The cottage is set in a lovely peaceful area with beautiful views and wonderful walks.
Lambs are now being born on the farm, you may be lucky enough to see some born. Watch the lambs skip and play in surrounding fields or come and see our cute orphan lambs.
Plenty of places to visit by day and then come home to relax infront of the warmth of the woodburner...simply perfect!

This lovely converted barn retains its original character and charm, fitted and furnished to a high standard and spacious throughout. Set within its own gated grounds, the accommodation comprises of; Entrance hall, downstairs toilet, large lounge/dinning room with woodburner,solid oak floor, leather sofas, oak furniture, freeview TV,DVD and games chest. Leading on into the well equipped kitchen with belfast sink, halogen hob, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine. French doors open out onto a seating area with far reaching views over the surrounding countryside. The carpeted staircase leads upto the 3 bedrooms; 1 double with ensuite, 1 further double and also a twin room (2 single beds, one does have restricted headroom). A large family bathroom with separate bath and large shower. The property has central heating throughout, and a woodburner that is all ready for you on arrival, plus tea and cake.
Parking, enclosed garden, patio and barbecue area. Dogs are welcome at the cottage for an additional charge. Highchair, cot, safety gate available upon request.
