Lily Pad makes up part of a large Victorian house built at the time of the now refurbished railway station next door, it is privately located on a leafy lane which was once the old tram way that gently ambles through woods, fields and beside the river to the moors.

Lily Pad is just 4 minutes walk from the moor and 8 minutes walk from the town centre which makes it ideal for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and all those who love the countryside, yet enjoy the convenience of all that a small town has to offer, such as our small and intimate cinema, Waitrose supermarket, swimming pool and sports centre, 2 golf courses, mountain bike courses through the woods, the granite way cycle path (with bike hire), choice of pubs and restaurants, The Arts Gallery full of locally sourced quality arts and crafts, the museum of rural crafts, the auction rooms, three great antique shops, quality butchers and bakers, a library and Okehampton even has its own Castle!

Lily Pad is a charming, yet spacious ground floor apartment, approached through its own large sunny front garden which leads through double French doors to its large light and comfortable sitting/dinning room with large TVandCD player and very comfortable seating , onto its extremely well equipped modern practical shaker style kitchen, through to the light modern shower room, or straight ahead to the luxurious bedroom with its own sunny stone courtyard at the rear. 

Why not book the children into the youth hostel 3 mins away and have precious and romantic you time. Its all here waiting for you on the edge of the moor.

You can enjoy open access to the lovely ceder wood hot tub throughout your stay.

Lily Pad has its own parking area, is wireless internet connected for those who need to keep in touch with the outside world, it has a very efficient central heating system, a log effect electric wood burning stove a TV with satellite, DVD player, radio and music system, and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, hob, cooker and grill, and plenty of cupboard space.

Bedding , linen, loo rolls, washing-up liquid, soap, tea and coffee are all included on arrival.  Lily pad is a magic mix of modern practicality, Victorian style and comfort mixed with just a tad of opulence, perfect for relaxing and romancing.  Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement at no extra charge.  Our week long breaks usually start on Saturdays but we are able to be extremely flexible and we also encourage short breaks (3 day minimum).
