Nestling on the bank of the River Torridge, Price of Peace proudly offers a Scandinavian Log Cabin purposely built for a self-catering unit within the grounds of the Old Fishing Lodge. Sit outside on the decking and view the river where you may spot the Kingfisher, the Otter and the abundance of birds that visit the garden daily. Watch the squirrels play, hear the fish jump and enjoy a glass of wine or a hot cup of cocoa whilst enjoying the chorus of the wildlife. This is a truly remarkable experience.
The cabin offers modern amenities with a large double bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen/diner which leads onto a veranda and decking. There is a bed settee in the lounge should you require that extra space, central heating and a wood burning stove for those cold winter evenings.
We are also conveniently situated on the A386 in the heart of Devon which makes it an ideal touring destination to discover Devon and North Cornwall. The Tarka and Ruby Trails are nearby which is ideal for those who wish to walk or cycle and Dartmoor for the more adventurous walker or just to sit and enjoy. The market town of Hatherleigh with its Tuesday morning market is well worth a visit and there are numerous local Inns with excellent restaurant facilities for that special night out.
