The Apartment has been recently refurbished, and occupies part of the ground and the entire second floor of Kilham House in the Northumberland National Park. The Apartment has its' own drive, and entrance. On the ground floor it has a large boot room, equipped with a washer/dryer and drying rack. There is also a WC on this level. There are two large double bedrooms which can be as two doubles or four singles, all with luxury Egyptian cotton sheets and super king duvets. A further 2 bedrooms for larger parties can be arranged at additional cost. The sitting room has a woodburning stove and is equipped to a high standard with wide-screen television, DVD/HDD recorder, freeview, and a range of DVDs. There is also a Fatboy i-pod amplifier, explorer-maps, games and books. The kitchen is well equipped an includes a dish-washer. The bathroom boasts an enormous roll-top bath and there is a separate shower room. All rooms have great views of the National Park.
The immediate surroundings provide some of the best walking country in Northumberland, with the Pennine Way and St. Cuthberts Way both nearby. The nearest beach (Cheswick) is 20 minutes drive, with Holy Island and Bamburgh (Castle also) being within 35 minutes. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are approximately 40 minutes, and Newcastle an hours drive away. Edinburgh is just over an hour by car and 40 minutes train journey from Berwick-upon-Tweed.
