The cottage is part of a converted coach house, formerly part of a country estate - a high standard property set amidst the stunning landscape of the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the south coast between Noss Mayo and Bigbury. Comprising of 2 bedrooms (one being master double room, the other used as a double or twin) a bath/showeroom, kitchen, living/dining room.
Outside there is a sheltered balcony and a patio, and residents can also enjoy use of the courtyard and garden. Cove View Cottage overlooks the South Devon Coastal Path and it comes with magnificent views across the valley and down to the sea. South Devon is a delightful area at any time of year with its varied coastline and diversity of landscapes, from deeply hedged lanes to the open wilderness of Dartmoor and the completely natural and unspoilt haven of Mothecombe beach. There is a private footpath for use by residents, right next to the cottage, which leads directly onto the coastal path. This leads to magnificent views and sandy beaches. You can walk for a few minutes or for miles. The coves are lovely for children to explore, discover rockpools, play in the sand and paddle in the sea.
It is an ideal spot for a family holiday or a short break, with or without children, with attractions all year round. In the summer there is the warm South Devon climate, the sheltered coves and beaches and long mild twilights; in the winter there is walking, bird-watching and wild seas.
There is plenty of wildlife to find and, with no ambient light pollution, Cove View Cottage is an ideal place to star gaze. Dartmoor National Park is about 30 minutes away by car and there are pretty villages and creek-side pubs and restaurants within a five to 15 minute driving distance.
The pretty villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers, clinging to the steep hillside, are a short drive away through country lanes. They are a delight to explore and offer pubs, walks. wildlife and tidal creeks. The City of Plymouth is only half an hour away by car with shops, theatres, cinemas, national marine aquarium, the historic Barbican and Hoe and numerous attractions.
