It provided everything we needed for our stay, was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We all enjoyed our stay, dogs included, and would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to visit the area.

The owners have really put some thought into the dog friendly element with furniture covers and doggie towels provided and the fenced/gated areas are fantastic for furry friends to be safe and secure. Parking is easy and convenient. Even though the location is close to the road we hardly noticed any traffic noise. All in all, a great place to stay for a peaceful week in the countryside.

The bathroom off the lounge needs a bit of a touch up and the showers weren't very powerful but those were the only quibbles we had with the cottage. The paddock is a great place for dogs on a long lead but it's not fully enclosed so dogs would be able to bolt into the fields or road around the cottage. It does make for an excellent spot for using telescopes and I managed some great photos of some nebulae. Walking through the village is a bit weird, take a torch if you'll be out in the dark as the street lighting is bizarrely spaced out. There is a poo bin about 5 minutes away from the cottage if you need to deposit something whilst walking. Mablethorpe beach is really nice, there's a big car park with a nice little cafe and the beach itself is wide, long and flat. If you go out of school holidays, it's really quiet and you will have plenty of room. The only downside, one which nearly had us leaving after two days due to a panicking dog, is the surrounding farmers using very loud bird scarers from 6am til 10pm.A couple of locals I spoke to whilst waiting for the fish & chip van (Tuesdays 17:30-17:50 at the football club) said the scarers aren't meant to be used during unsocialable hours but the farmers ignore that. If you have dogs or someone who's scared by frequent, recurring loud bangs this may not be the place for you.
