Ruth the host is brilliant with her local knowledge and keeps the property and surrounding area immaculate. This area of The Lakes is wonderfully unspoilt and quiet, perfect to get away from it all and see the red squirrels morning and night. The cottage itself is clean, well equipped and very dog friendly - the dog field/s are amazing. Lovely super king bed. Views are stunning. We never go back to a property, but this cottage was so good, we're coming back next year.

A warm welcome from Ruth and treats for both ourselves and our dog were a nice touch and very much appreciated. The property is well situated for exploring The Lakes and is easy to find, helped by good directions from Ruth. The peace and tranquillity of the surroundings together with glorious weather were exactly what we needed and we would definitely stay again.

The hot tub was fantastic, the bed was so comfortable and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We'd have liked a slightly bigger sofa to sit and watch TV but that's the only slightly negative point. We'd 100% book again
