Guests say

Guests consistently praise the lodge for its cleanliness, tranquil setting, and proximity to wildlife and local attractions. The property offers a peaceful retreat with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. Some guests noted the seating could be more comfortable and the Wi-Fi signal stronger, but these were minor points in otherwise positive feedback.

Reviewers frequently mention the lodge's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and 'immaculate', indicating a high standard of hygiene and upkeep.

The lodge's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, lake views, and proximity to nature and local amenities, although some noted it as slightly remote.

The majority of guests found the lodge comfortable, particularly the beds, but several comments about the seating being uncomfortable slightly lower this score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches. However, the lack of laundry facilities, some issues with Wi-Fi, and limited fishing opportunities due to lake conditions affect the score.

Guests appreciated the welcome pack and homely touches, which contributed to a pleasant stay. While such gestures are mentioned, it is noted that these are not guaranteed for every visitor.

We are 2 friends, both in our eighties, who like a bedroom and bathroom each and the description seemed to meet our needs. We think it would be helpful if the second bedroom was described as suitable for young children as the beds were really unsuitable for older adults like us. The internet is very limited though I think the owners suggested that was a fact of life in that locality. The owners were very helpful with TV and with restoring the limited Internet when we lost it altogether. It is well equipped and warm and is in a beautiful setting and very peaceful with a lovely furniture in the lounge to sit with a lovely view of the lake.

Perfect for Dogs with good walks. However hubby was disappointed as he went for the fishing. Took all his fishing gear but didnt use as lake was too shallow and had too much weed in it to fish. Holiday location was mainly chosen as said there was fishing but there wasnt

Better wifi would be nice but still worth the price. It was clean and tidy and well maintained. It is in a lovely location facing the lake and so peaceful and quiet there. Plenty of wildlife to watch at different times of the day. Nice for dog walks through the woods and surrounding areas. Friendly residential neighbours (not yet seen a smile on Mrs Happy down the road though lol) If your looking for a peaceful vacation you can't go far wrong staying at 6 lake view.
