Situated right at the heart of beautiful Weardale, Stanhope boasts numerous places to eat, drink and enjoy the local produce, including a pie shop, bakery, fish and chip shop and plenty of pubs.  With the county’s only open air heated swimming pool a short walk away, guests can enjoy a dip during the summer months.  There are multiple established walks, public footpaths, and bridle ways that run directly through the village and out into the nearby valleys, fells and unspoilt natural woodland.  Cyclists will find themselves surrounded by route. . .
