During a winter’s evening, look forward to lighting up the wood burning stove and getting cosy under the sheets in the king-size bed, relaxation is just what you need after an action-packed day exploring. Continuing to impress, head out onto the decked terrace area, where table and chairs offer an alternative dining arrangement for summer afternoons relaxing and admiring the views across the countryside. Brampton is a market town resting on the outskirts of Carlisle, offering a great base for exploring Hadrian’s Wall. The town boasts rich and colourful history, dating back to the Roman occupation, Border raiders from Scotland and the Jacobite uprisings. Today, you will find Moot Hall, which was built in 1817, and now houses the Tourist Information Centre and is surrounded by a selection of amenities. Within the surrounding area, you will find Talkin Tarn Country Park, 120 acres of farmland and woodland and the rspb nature reserve.
