The only issue we had was the bathroom, the light didn’t work but hopefully that will have been rectified now. It’s worth noting the sloping ceiling is very low, I’m 5’8 and my head touched the ceiling so would be uncomfortable if you are taller. You can’t stand up for a shower which is fine if you are happy to have baths although the water pressure is great so it’s a shame there’s no shower. The beds are really comfortable and the kitchen is really well equipped. The garden fence to the road could do with sheep netting along it, as it’s not secure for curious dogs. The garden structure has started to rot so is not stable but there’s no outdoor table and chairs which was a real shame as the views from the decking are incredible. A bit of TLC and this would be a 5 star accommodation.

Special mention to the housekeeper Lucy for providing the clean & tidy environment. Plenty of good local walks in the area for people & dogs - who needs the WiFi when you have the birds churping away and baby lambs flocking around the field next to the Chapel Stable.

The kitchen has all the amenities you could possibly need. Comfortable large sofa and log burner. Although this is a lovely property there are a few things that could be improved. On arriving the house was cold but unable to start a fire as no kindling had been left for us. This is usually something owners provide get one going the first night you arrive. It should be noted that dogs are not allowed on the furniture (dont know why people say dog friendly?) I completely understand the not upstairs part but not allowed on the sofa?! Anyway to finish off the issue was the water pressure. Now only informed on reading this in the book that it could fluctuate not beforehand we had terrible issues to the point you couldn't even wash as it was flowing out the tap as a trickle. Although once informing the owner we had an issue and it was fixed we were already pretty much coming home. I feel some sort of compensation should have been offered as we were having to fill the bath up from downstairs. We got lucky our dog didn't need a wash! Also there was a lot of hair (human and dog) in the bedroom bedding as well. For this reason we wouldn't stay again.
