This three bed period barn conversion is located in the village of Evercreech near to the town of Wells, a wing of the owner's home in rural Somerset, a beautiful place to commence your holiday. Suited for the family with its collection of bedroom styles, The Coach House invites you inside to an open-plan living area, benefitting from the warmth of a woodburning stove for those cooler nights, and French doors that open out to the patio area, perfect for a summer's afternoon. Whether you are settling down on the comfy mismatched sofas, or gathering together at the dining table, you will feel right at home. The kitchen continues the modern overtone, including a range of appliances including a washer dryer and a large fridge freezer. Two bedrooms lie on the ground floor, including a wonderful king-size and twin room, with a further super king-size bedroom located upstairs. Views over the countryside and a feature window truly welcome the outside in. Should you be bringing along a little one, you will be pleased to discover a travel cot, highchair, and baby bath. Lastly, one bathroom on each level, so every guest can get ready comfortably in the morning and evening. The City of Wells with its famous cathedral and twice-weekly market is only 8 miles away; Bruton and the renowned Hauser & Wirth Art Gallery and restaurant 6 miles away, and Longleat safari park a 25 minute drive. The Coach House offers the perfect comfortable base for a cultural sightseeing holiday. With something to interest every member of the family, other local attractions include Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, the Clarks Shopping village, the Fleet Air Arm museum, Cheddar Gorge and caves and Wookey Hole, all within a 30 minute drive. Cider and cheese making remains a key industry. In Shepton Mallet, 3 miles away, you will find two large supermarkets for everyday necessities as well as several antique shops to browse. At Clarks Village in Street, only 10 miles away and on the site of the old Clarks shoe factory, you will find over 90 high street and designer retailers plus numerous cafes and restaurants.
Only 18 miles south of Bristol, this cottage is a home-away-from-home in a magnificent part of Somerset.
Wells, England’s smallest city, is named after the springs which still bubble up today in the grounds of its splendid Bishop's Palace with its famous moat. Adjacent is the beautiful 12th century cathedral situated within a most attractive cathedral close and green. Nearby, Vicars Close is home to the oldest complete medieval street in Europe, and the quaint market square offers an array of interesting shops, boutiques and restaurants, and a colourful twice-weekly market.

Such a comfortable cosy house with wonderful views. Well equipped and very comfy beds. Thank you
Ian
The Coach House was very private accessed from a large courtyard with covered parking for 2 guests cars. The garden was very secure, which we appreciated with the 2 dogs in our party, with garden furniture and fabulous views across the valley. The accommodation consisted of 2 large double rooms, 1 downstairs, and a twin room. There are 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was small, but well equipped. There are many sightseeing opportunities nearby - Stourton House (NT), Alfred's Tower and Lytes Cary Manor (NT). Wells is very close, and Shepton Mallet provides shopping needs only a couple of miles away. There is excellent walking in any direction and a heritage railway line within hearing distance. The nearest pub (1.5 miles), the Poachers Pocket, serves very good food. We really enjoyed the Coach House.
