The barn conversion has been beautifully done and is so comfortable, the living room has lovely views of the countryside and all the furnishings are to a high standard, we wanted for nothing here. We even had a delicious cake left for us! We enjoyed using the hot tub and after a lovely long walk with our black lab this was most welcome. We visited the local pub, The Stag Inn, which is just a ten minute walk along the road. Delicious food and a well stocked bar, lots of locals and a lovely atmosphere. We were able to bring our dog into the restaurant section which had hard flooring, which was great. All in all a lovely few days spent here, we would definitely come back, thank you for a lovely stay.

The only problem we had was with the EV charger which was not working when we arrived and took some time to sort out with the company.

We were not happy with the hot tub as half the jets didn’t work and the ones that did were not very powerful. There is also no real privacy at the lodge. We had neighbours playing outside our property and even with the rear blinds closed they could still see in directly through to the bedroom area. The best thing about the stay was the Stags head (this is 0.6 mile away, 10-15 minutes walk on a road with no footpath or lighting). The staff there were great and the food amazing would highly recommended. All in all we enjoyed our stay and our complaints were only minor things like no where to put your food as cupboards all full, shower was stuck on max heat but spoke to owner who directed us what to do, hot tub, privacy. We wouldn’t return to the lodge again but would definitely return to the Stags Head.
