In the village of Faceby, between Carlton-in-Cleveland and Swainby in North Yorkshire, is this gorgeous four-bedroom property, Rose Cottage. Boasting a superb location within the North York Moors National Park and a stylish interior which has been furnished to a high standard, Rose Cottage is a wonderful dwelling for a group or family of eight who are looking to holiday in style. Be welcomed into the spacious open-plan living area, where the chef of the group can acquaint themselves with the well-equipped kitchen, featuring an AGA, oven and hob. Settle down to savour a delicious meal at the dining table as the wine is poured, and plans are made for the days ahead. After a hearty meal, why not relax on the plush sofas in the sitting area and select your favourite show from the TV, as the woodburning stove crackles nearby. There will be no arguments over the remote, as there is a large Sitting Room where you can watch a film or snuggle up with a good book. From the kitchen there are two steps with a hand rail down to the hall way where the second sitting room and two downstairs bedrooms are. As your eyes grow heavy, discover two well-appointed bedrooms on the ground floor, a super-king-size and a king-size, both with zip/link, a TV and their own en-suite shower rooms. You will also find a convenient cloakroom, ideal for those quick freshen ups! Continue up to the first floor, where you will find two further super-king-size bedrooms, one with a zip/link, TV and en-suite bathrooms. Swainby is a settlement in the Hambleton region of North Yorkshire. Swainby is located at the north-western corner of the North York Moors National Park. The characteristics of the settlement and the surrounding area consist of traditional Yorkshire dry stone walls, hills, sheep, heather and moorland. The town is adjacent to the ruins of Whorlton Castle. In the 19th century the housing of miners who worked the neighboring hills for ironstone and jet led to an extension of the village. Swainby features two public houses, The Blacksmiths Arms and The Black Horse.

Lovely garden although we did not use it due to cooler weather. Great position for our walking week on the Cleveland Way. The owner was contacted regarding a small problem & it was immediately rectified.

Within easy reach of good walks and the coast. The cottage was really comfortable, well-equipped and very nicely furnished. Having an en-suite for every bedroom was such a treat. We chose the cottage partly because of the secure garden for our two dogs and we were really pleased that it was as secure as promised. One point to be aware of though is that the lawn is on a higher level which might be a problem for some dogs as the steps up to it are quite steep or some dogs might be tempted to jump directly down from a height as ours did!

Could not fault this property at all. Lots of space and great enclosed garden for children and dogs. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Will definitely be back.
