The large wood burner is the focal point of this lovely space and perfect for those chillier evenings. 

The area surrounding Uplands is a joy to discover.  There are various and varied walks available, from scenic coastal walks to marked forest trails.  For the biking enthusiasts you have the world class Dalbeattie 7Stanes mountain trail on your doorstep, as well as Mabie Forest.  It is a popular location for mountain bikers of all levels.  With sailing, swimm. . .
