The annual Royal Welsh Show is hosted in the town every July and is a colourful, fascinating fete. The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and the spectacular Black Mountains are easy to reach from the area, making this an ideal place for people looking to enjoy the outdoor life or simply relax against this stunning backdrop.

They have lots of knowledge of local area and offered lots of hints and tips. Also a welcome greeting from their dogs every day. The cottage is even better than the photos showed. Perfect for me who likes peace and quiet - no traffic noise. I donât mind driving to get to a shop. I would possibly book their other cottage Black Mountain View in future because for me the only downside was being directly overlooked by the main farmhouse. I normally prefer leaving curtains open at night.
