7 holiday lets sleeping from 2 to 6

Venture to the outskirts of St Austell, down a winding country lane and you’ll find a small cluster of luxurious farm cottages looking over 22 acres of idyllic Cornish countryside; welcome to Tregongeeves Farm Cottages.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or simply a base from which to kick-start your Cornish adventure Tregongeeves’ self-catering accommodation is the perfect choice all year round.

Donkey Mill (sleeps 6)
The largest of our holiday cottages, with a stunning wood burner to cuddle up in front of, its own patio garden and views over a patchwork of countryside where our donkeys, sheep and horses graze. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a bunk bedroom (looking out to the animals on the farm), a shower room and an en suite twin bedroom which has zip-linked beds that can be made up into a double if requested in advance with a family-size bathroom.

Quakers (sleeps 4)
The topsy-turvy layout of Quakers puts the two bedrooms on the ground floor and the living space under the towering eaves of the first floor. Downstairs, dressed in New England style with stripy fabrics and beachy décor, is a standard double bedroom, a bathroom and a twin bedroom that opens out onto the courtyard through a stable door. We allow one small family pet in Quakers.

Lovedays (sleeps 4)
Similar to Quakers in its upside-down layout, Lovedays is a spacious, light-filled cottage overlooking the gravelled courtyard. Downstairs is a traditionally styled twin bedroom, a shower room and a double bedroom – with a king-size bed and television – that opens out onto the courtyard through a stable door. Upstairs, under a lofty ceiling studded with beams and skylights, is a large open plan living area with a feature fireplace (housing a gas fire), plump furnishings, a modern kitchen and rustic wood trimmings.

Gallery (sleeps 4)
Come in through the stable door to this unique cottage with a gallery bedroom squirreled up in the eaves. In this unusual double bedroom – a cosy hideaway where the countryside is in view – you can hunker down in a canopied king-size bed beneath the skylights and exposed beams. Downstairs is an open-plan living space with a classic country-style kitchen and dining area. Adjoining the spacious lounge with its towering beamed ceilings is a twin bedroom.

Hedgerows (sleeps 3)
Hedgerows has its own enclosed garden backing onto the paddocks. Ideal for containing small, adventurous children while you relax and enjoy the views. Hedgerows allows one small family pet. The bedrooms are downstairs, with a cosy single bedroom, a shower room and a double bedroom that was originally a bullpen. Now housing a king size bed, this stunning double, complete with television, opens out onto the garden through a stable door. Upstairs the open plan living area exudes a warm, homely atmosphere with comfy furnishings and rustic wood trimmings.

Corner Cottage (sleeps 2)
A cosy bolthole for two, Corner Cottage was originally the wash house of the main farmhouse. Our only single-level cottage, it has one bedroom and goose down duvets to snuggle into. Corner cottage allows one small family pet. Pad barefoot into the bathroom and enjoy under-floor heating, or step out onto the patio and enjoy an alfresco breakfast in the morning sun. The raised-level sitting area is a haven of country-style comfort, inviting you to sink into the sofas and relax.

Swallows (sleeps 2)
This cosy cottage for two has a downstairs ensuite bedroom with super king-size zip-link bed; this sumptuous bed can be made as a double or twin. Climb the staircase, with its chunky rope handrail, to a bright and spacious first-floor living area, with a modern kitchen, plush carpets, plank wood furniture and plump sofas. Charming as ever, the stone walls, exposed beams and vintage artefacts emphasise the original character of the building.

At Tregongeeves, we like to make sure that everything is taken care of so you can just relax and enjoy your holiday. In your cottage you’ll find a few extras which we hope will make your time here just that little bit more special:
