The pretty house comprises 4 bedrooms, all with outstanding views of the creek,two bathrooms, a large dining room, well equipped kitchen and utility room and a comfortable cosy sitting room. A woodburner and oil fired aga provide year round warmth and comfort. Wifi, Sky TV, DVD player & stereo are all provided. A cot, high chair and removable stair gates make holidaying here with small children easy.
The grounds are extensive, with sunny terraces, a pirate boat sandpit, shallow creek waters to paddle and play in. The banks are swathed in naturalised bulbs and wild flowers, and there are endless secret places from which to enjoy the stunning views, and watch the abundant birdlife on the creek.
Boats are a fantastic way to enjoy being at Penpoll. It is easy to hire kayaks locally, to explore the Fowey river, (the setting for Wind in the Willows) or the coastline, made so famous by Daphne du Maurier. Or, launch your own boat and make the most of the excellent facilities at the close by Penmarlem Slipway. From here, and in Fowey, you can organise sailing lessons, hire a river launch, or just watch others out on the water. Attractions such as the Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a short drive away in nearby St Austell.
