A jewel in the palm of your hand', wrote Daphne du Maurier of Trelowarren. It remains one of Cornwall's finest estates.

The estate is a wonderful place for children and adults alike – deep in the great outdoors yet so close to much else. The lush south coast is nearby with some of the most stunning beaches in all of Cornwall, the Helford River is closeby with our favourie secret river beaches; the Lizard wraps around Trelowarren, and Penzance is a short drive away. Neither adults nor children can fail to enjoy themselves here; it is a paradise for those who love Cornwall.

The main house, 500 years old, belongs to the Vyvyan family and is at the heart of this vast project. There's a gorgeous heated outdoor swimming pool, a spa, the courtyard restaurant and a pop-up pizza house in the old stables; the whole place is yours to explore.

We have 21 houses on the estate, varying in style and with two to six bedrooms depending on the property.

Each house is fully equipped, has a private garden, outdoor furniture (portable BBQs on request) a wood burner and many more little luxuries to make it feel like a home away from home.

We are a short drive from Helston and a 30 minute drive from Truro and Falmouth should you want to venture further afield for a shopping trip, theme parks, museums and more. Come and talk to us in reception for our top tips on local places to visit.

Our eco-credentials: We’ve done our best to use natural building materials with as little embedded energy as possible; and our new houses have ‘super’ insulation well beyond building regulations (some of our old houses are built of cob and thatch – they knew a bit about super insulation in the old days); and the new buildings are designed to fully exploit the beautiful natural Cornish light; and last, but not least, we have led the way by installing a district heating system fuelled by a single bio-mass boiler.
