Lower Aylescott Farm Cottages is a collection of 6 cottages set in its own grounds in a pretty, secluded valley just outside the North Devon village of West Down. The cottages share 4 acres of green fields, with a childrens play area and two fishing lakes well stocked with fish. Whilst the setting is very rural, the glorious beaches at Woolacombe are only 10 minutes away.

Set at one end of the communal courtyard is Braefoot, a pretty, two-bedroom cottage, ideal for either a couple, or a family. The bright and spacious open plan living area has direct access to the shared courtyard perfect for alfresco dinners. The living space has been divided into a comfy lounge featuring a TV and leather sofas; a dining area with table seating up to four; and a well-equipped kitchen with everything you will need to enjoy a self-catering holiday.

On the first floor of the cottage, has direct access out to the car park, there are two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The first bedroom is a twin with two full size single beds, this leads directly into the double bedroom, which has countryside views. The newly refurbished bathroom is fitted with a bath complete with overhead shower, a WC and a wash-basin.

The mid-terrace, two-bedroom Smithy Cottage is a wonderful place for families or couples to enjoy a holiday in North Devon. Downstairs at the cottage is a cosy living room with comfy sofas and a fold-out dining table, which can seat up to four. There is also direct access to the communal courtyard where guests will find a table and chairs ideal for alfresco dinners. There is the well-equipped kitchen complete with electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The two bedrooms are located on the first floor of the cottage and include a good-sized double with plenty of storage, and a nice twin with built-in wardrobe. Both bedrooms share the family bathroom, which is fitted with a combined bath/shower, WC and loo.

Royd Cottage is a lovely two-bedroom, mid-terrace cottage, which can comfortably accommodate up to four. The cottage has plenty of character features with exposed stone walls and wood beams on show on the first floor of the cottage. Downstairs, the cottage has a warm and cosy lounge with comfy leather sofas and a flat screen TV. The lounge also has direct access onto the shared courtyard. The kitchen/diner has been equipped to a good standard with everything couples or families will require. Equipment in the kitchen includes, an oven, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a nice double with countryside views and built-in wardrobe, and a pretty twin. Both bedrooms share the family bathroom, which has a bath with shower overhead, a WC and a wash-basin. The first floor also has direct access to the car park.

The pretty Blare Cottage has been tastefully decorated throughout and comfortably accommodates up to four in two bedrooms. From the courtyard, guests enter the open plan living area, which is light and bright. The two suede sofas feature reclining mechanisms, making them ideal for sitting back and relaxing, or watching the TV. The open plan living area continues with a nice dining table seating up to four, and a well-equipped kitchen fitted with a fridge, an electric oven, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The two bedrooms, a twin and a double are both situated on the first floor of the cottage and have a built-in wardrobe and plenty of storage facilities. The bedrooms share the family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath, a WC and a wash-basin.

Duror Cottage accommodates up to six in three-bedrooms and has a charming mix of charm and character. Elegantly decorated, the cottage is a great home-away-from-home for friends or families. On the ground floor of the property is a spacious open plan living area featuring quirky exposed stone work around the original windows and a lovely wood-burning stove, which is perfect for chilly winter evenings. The lounge has two comfy sofas, both of which highlight the purple feature wall and give the living area a dash of colour. There is also a dining area with table seating up to six, and a kitchen, including a fridge, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and an electric oven. Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms, including two double both with king-size beds, a nice twin. The final room on the first floor is the newly refurbished bathroom, which has a bath with shower overhead, a WC and a wash-basin. Outside, the cottage has its own private terrace area with table seating up to six. The terrace has wonderful views of the countryside and fishing lakes.

With uninterrupted views of the fishing lake and local countryside, Lake View is the perfect place to experience a wonderfully, relaxing holiday. The cottage, which sleeps up to six in three bedrooms has been finished to a high standard and is both modern and comfortable. Within the open plan living area is a nice comfy lounge with wood-burning stove and flat-screen TV, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the leather sofas. Towards the rear of the room is the dining area with large pine table and a well-equipped kitchen fitted with electric oven, washing machine and dishwasher. Lake View has three bedrooms, the first is a double with en-suite bathroom and door opening out onto the private terrace. The other two bedrooms are both twins and share the family bathroom, which has a bath, a separate shower, a WC and a wash-basin. To the front of the cottage is its own private terrace from which guests can admire the views or enjoy alfresco meals.
