Both Clare's Cottage and Dolly's Barn are Eco as well as dog friendly. Heated by a zero carbon Biomass Boiler and solar panels plus a charging point for electric cars. The garden is organic and no chemicals are used, hence many birds visit.
Clare's Cottage sleeps up to 4 is full of old fashioned charm. It has a separate fully fitted and well equipped kitchen with a small breakfast table, a large lounge with a wood-burning stove, 2 bedrooms one with a double bed the other with a single and a comfortable 'put you up' for the 4th person to allow flexible sleeping arrangements. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. Outside there is a organic private 1/2 acre garden, table and chairs to enjoy the lovely views of the Welsh countryside. there's also an outside tape for muddy boots and paws. Off road parking for 2 vehicles and storage for bikes and canoes. Linen & towels are provided, Wifi and washing machine available upon request
Dolly's Barn sleeps up to 2 in one double bedroom. A recently converted single storey stone outbuilding with an open plan kitchen/lounge also furnished with a wood-burning stove. Triple aspect makes it light and airy and stripped floors and rugs offers a contemporary feel. The Patio doors open out on to a small terrace with table and chairs and lovely views. Dolly has a large grassed area with a wildlife pond and is sited next to a paddock which is being restored to a wildflower meadow. Off road parking and is completely private.
The popular town of Chepstow is only 3 miles down the road and being a border town has much to offer. Beautiful riverside walks, independent shops, the oldest stone castle in Wales, a good selection of outlets for locally produced food plus the start/finish of 4 long distance walks. Tintern Abbey is only a short drive away which is described as the jewel in the crown of the Lower Wye Valley plus there are numerous outdoor activities to do from walking, canoeing and climbing to name a few. You wouldn't get bored.
