Single holiday let sleeping up to 24 guestsLooking for a last minute break for friends or families? Then the Barden bunk barn is perfectly located in the Upper Wharfedale valley in the heart of the stunning Yorkshire Dales. The barn is perfect as a base for outdoor enthusiasts whether climbing, walking or cycling and is on the route for the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire. A well behaved dog as part of the group is welcome but must be comfortably around other animals. We do not accept groups under 21 or stag/hen parties.
Nestled in the shadow of the 13th century ruin of Barden Tower, a former fortified hunting lodge, the barn has been converted from former stables into a well appointed group accommodation venue sleeping up to 24 people. The whole site, which consists of the ruined Barden Tower, the Priests House and newly renovated Barden Chapel, is grade 1 listed being one of the most important historical sites in the Yorkshire Dales. It boasts fantastic views of the valley with superb walks nearby, especially the river walk back to Bolton Abbey where you pass through ancient woods, pass the impressive Strid where the river narrows to just a couple of metres and can stop at the Cavendish Pavilion for a well earned coffee. Whilst fully self catering, you could dine at the next door Priests House especially for Sunday lunch or go to one of the pubs in nearby Appletreewick.
