situated 3 ½ miles from Builth Wells, Powys (home of The Royal Welsh Show) in the heart of mid Wales. An easy 1/2 hour drive to Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons and the Elan Valley at Rhayader. From the top of the hill to the river side are beautiful wooded walks with good tracks for cyclists, there is pony trekking nearby. The river valley is designated as a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) because of its rare flora and fauna including otters. Fishing for Salmon, Trout and Grayling on the Cefnllysgwynne beat which consists of two miles double bank and a further mile single bank of the Irfon, can be booked with us at £17.50per rod day. The house is also perfectly positioned to give convenient access to the Wye and Usk upper river catchments allowing booking of fishing on a different beat each day.
THE HENDRE FARMHOUSE is a four bedroom self-catering farmhouse sleeping 8. This recently renovated old welsh farmhouse is surrounded by a well kept garden with lawns and flower beds. Beyond the garden, it is a five minute walk across the fields to the River Irfon and the tiny parish church of St Davis's Llanynis in a field by the river. This beautiful stretch of the Irfon has many secluded pools for wild swimming and plenty of shallows for paddling and minnowing. The Hendre is a perfect base for active holidays or peacefully relaxing and gentle walks to the riverbank.

HAFOD-Y-BLODAU is a two bedrooms, self catering holiday cottage, sleeping 4. This delightful converted barn is perched at the top of the hill with breathtaking views over the Irfon valley and the Cambrian Mountains. A birdwatchers paradise, on a level with birds circling high above the valley, Hafod is surrounded by pasture land and woodland, with access on foot leading onto the open hill for walking enthusiasts.
Downstairs there is a well equipped kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and cupboard units. Sitting room with wood burning stove (logs provided) and Sat freeview TV, DVD. French windows give access to a sun terrace, with garden furniture and a barbeque stored in the garden shed at the side of the cottage. The entrance hall provides ample space for storing coats and boots and has an adjoining downstairs w.c with hand basin.
Outside the cottage there is space for parking. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with twin beds in each and a hand basin in one. Bathroom with power shower over bath, w.c. and hand basin. All linen is provided Night storage and convection heaters to supplement wood stove.
