3 holiday lets sleeping from 6 to 6

New for 2017 White Park Cottage now has a Hot Tub for exclusive use.

If you need a break and want a bit of peace and tranquility to recharge your batteries, then Broad Ecton Farm cottages, set in the heart of the White Peak, can offer this in abundance.

We have converted a Grade II listed traditional stone long barn into two adjoining four star gold award cottages retaining all of the original features and charm yet introducing modern amenities so that your stay is exceptionally comfortable and relaxing.

Both cottages can sleep up to six people and have a joint entrance lobby. White Park cottage (named after our pedigree herd of cows) has 3 double bedrooms one of which is on the ground floor with an ensuite wetroom. Swaledale cottage (named after our flock of sheep) has one double bedroom and one large family room able to be set up as four single beds or one double plus two single beds.

The farm is located within the Peak District National Park and is within 10 miles of each of the historic market towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton and Leek that offer plenty of tourist attractions.

The cottages are an ideal base for exploring all that the National Park has to offer and are a 30 minute drive from the Alton Towers theme park for the thrill seekers amongst your party. (see)

For those of you more interested in keeping your adrenaline within reach, the farm is criss crossed with multiple footpaths with at least six public houses within an hours walking distance, they all serve good local brews and food.

We are halfway though a 10 year HLS (Higher Level Stewardship) agreement with Natural England. In particular this covers a large section of SSSI (Special Site of Scientific Interest) land for The Hamps & Manifold Flaura & Fauna and also the Ecton Copper Mines. We have traditional Hay Meadows and use Rare Breed White Park cattle for conservation grazing.

In addition to this our Holiday cottages have been created by converting/restoring a traditional stone Long Barn using traditional methods and materials for instance Hemp Lime plaster for all the internal wall rendering and insulation. The heating installed is underfloor provided by Ground Source Heat Pumps.

We also offer a Camping barn that has a wet room, hot & cold water, kitchen & cooking facilities along with ground floor heating sleeping up to 6 on a first floor platform made from the recycled boards originating from the Ashbourne railway station platform.

We look forward to welcoming you and making your break as enjoyable as possible, for more information visit our website or contact us on 01298 687178 or emailing us on
