Their location is ideal for those who enjoy the 'great outdoors'. There are plenty of activities with great walks, birdwatching, cycling, pony trekking, quadbiking, canoeing, Llangorse rope centre and other activity centres - all amongst the beautiful countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are many interesting places to visit in the local area, something to suit all ages. Some are listed on our own website Activities page. For those who want to escape the duties of cooking there is a good selection of country pubs offering good home cooked food using local produce, also Indian and Chinese takeaways.
FREE Coarse fishing is available on the farm, fish of 7lb are being caught,.
SORRY NO PETS
The cottages make the perfect base for a holiday in the Brecon Beacons whether you want to explore the area or simply relax - this is the ideal place. There is a BBQ area with picnic benches and chairs, also a games room with a pooltable. We will make sure your stay will be a memorable one.
Oil-fired central heating, electricity and bedlinen are included in the price.
Mid/Weekend breaks are available all year [except during school holidays] for up to 12 guests. There is ample secure parking and owners live on site. Sorry no pets. PAYG internet, .

COTTAGE 1.
Converted to a high standard, the first farm cottage has four bedrooms, a double and twin and a shower room on the ground floor and, upstairs; an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, leading to a room with two single beds and an adjacent double bedroom with super king size zip and link bed and en suite shower room.
COTTAGE 2
The second cottage also has many original features that enhance the character of the building. The living room and electric kitchen area are on the first floor and a spacious bath/shower room and two bedrooms (double and twin) are on the ground floor. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available.
FAIROAKS BUNGALOW only available until 1st March 2019.
This spacious bungalow is also situated on the farm in tranquil surroundings. It has recently been extensively upgraded and facilities have been added to accommodate disabled guests. Access statement available on request.
The sun lounge with Satellite TV and video offer panoramic views of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. There are four bedrooms, all tastefully furnished including two twin rooms and two double rooms - one of which is en-suite[wetroom]. The spacious bathroom includes a shower, a bidet as well as a bath, wash basin and toilet. A large kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge,freezer and microwave oven; off the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine. During the summer, guests can relax in their own private garden with patio area and are more than welcome to take a walk around the farm. The bungalow is well heated by oil-fired central heating as weekend and short breaks are also very popular during the Autumn.Winter and Spring. Oil-fired central heating, electricity and bedlinen are included in the price. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or BACS.
Beautiful setting and lovely cottage
The whole experience was excellent. The cottage was great and had everthing we needed. The setting was fabulous, sheep and views on the doorstep and the owners were friendly and helpful. Would have liked to have stayed longer as it was incredibly peaceful and we were lucky with the weather. Would recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful location and plenty of space for a large group.
A large group of us came for a long weekend of mountain biking. We had a wonderful stay and will hopefully be returning in summer. There was plenty of space for everyone and clean, well looked after. Very helpful owners who made everything easy. We visited bike park wales, Afan and Cwmcarn for cycling which were all within an hours drive. Very remote location with lovely countryside.
Second visit, delighted again
We were here in warmer times 18 months ago. Again, we brought with us a lady well over 90 years of age. She declared the visit to be a triumph. The house was warm, welcoming and accommodated up to 8 comfortably. No steps or stairs, so managing a person with some mobility issues was a breeze. The Powell family know what they are doing whether it comes to running a sheep farm or self catering facilities! They provide every support you want but never intrude. June is a gem to deal with. Because this property is buried in the countryside WiFi lacks the zip of city connection but can be offered by June if you wish. There is much of interest in the area for all ages, Brecon is great. It is a few minutes drive from the bungalow on sleepy lanes and quiet roads. Would we come again? Absolutely!
