Situated in 24 acres of meadowland leading to a private bank of the River Lynher in a truly unspoilt part of Cornwall on the edge of Bodmin Moor. The listed characterful Manor House dates from the 12th Century and includes interesting historical features even boasting its own Celtic Cross. The cottages are converted from 19th Century barns and also retain many original features. The properties are comfortably furnished to a high standard.

With one wing of the manor house and four/five cottages available for let, Trevadlock represents versatile accommodation either for individual couples and families, or for larger groups who may wish to rent several properties and take advantage of the communal entertaining space within the house. Two of the cottages have an interconnecting internal door and can be rented together as one very versatile space sleeping 10 in 3 double bedrooms (one with a zip and link) and two twin rooms.

All the cottages have a mews/upside down layout with loft-style living areas upstairs, bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs. The kitchens have cream cupboards, wooden worktops, butlers sinks, dishwashers, fridges, washing machines, microwaves, stainless steel cookers with gas hobs and electric fan ovens. The large open living spaces have dining areas, inviting plump sofas, arm chairs and kilim rugs. They are equipped with TV and DVD players. Generous curtains decorate the large windows some of which open onto French-style ornamental balconies. Four of the cottages also have wood-burning stoves. Downstairs the good-size double bedrooms with comfortable king size beds. The white bathrooms each have a bath with shower overhead, basin and WC.

The cottages have a well-stocked sunny lawned garden. Four have their own sheltered deck area, while Swallows Barn has a sunny wooden balcony instead. All have garden furniture and their own barbecues. Shared features include a fenced orchard, ideal for exercising your dog safely. There is a playground with swings and a slide which is also enclosed. In addition there is a large games room. There's access to 24 acres of rolling fields with ancient trees, leading to the riverbank.

Trevadlock Manor 's beautifully furnished West Wing is accessed via a sheltered courtyard. The versatile living space is ideal for larger parties wishing to rent several properties and have a central place to meet and/or eat.

On the first floor there is one double room with a super king bed which can be either made up as a double or twin. This room has the ensuite bathroom and balcony. The twin bedroom is spacious with a built in wardrobe and is served by a family bathroom. The family bathroom has a roll top bath and separate shower. The predominantly white double room is particularly light and airy. On its north side two windows have fitted window seats and look out onto the Manor's front garden and the lane beyond. On the opposite side French windows lead to a small, sunny, creeper- clad balcony overlooking the courtyard which is a perfect spot for breakfast or lunch 'al fresco'. The ensuite bathroom has a comfortable bath, WC and basin.

Downstairs, the beautiful living room has four large Georgian windows and a large fireplace which houses the woodburner. Comfortable sofas and chairs provide attractive seating in front of the magnificent granite fireplace. At the other end of the room a good-sized dining table and chairs can be extended for larger gatherings. With interesting original artwork, a splendid slate floor, full bookshelves, sea grass and kilim rugs and plump cushions this delightful drawing room provides a relaxing haven for any season of the year.

The West Wing has a bright and functional kitchen and a utility room where there is an additional lavatory and basin. All the necessary equipment cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer etc. are found in these rooms. The West Wing's large, old, front door opens onto the courtyard, where there's a sheltered area with garden furniture and barbecue.

The peace and tranquillity of this setting belie its convenience as a holiday base only 1.1/2 miles from the A30, yet out of earshot and sight of this main arterial road of Cornwall. Both North and South Coasts are easily accessible as well as the fantastic walking, riding, and other activities afforded by the Moor itself.
